This is usually used in stilt houses. In North American markets, a highly processed from of bamboo flooring is available. Locking bamboo flooring is also available, and it is the easiest to install. In this, each flooring plank has an interlocking link that clicks neatly with that of another plank.

Maintenance of bamboo hardwood flooring

Careful maintenance is needed for bamboo flooring. Scratches and marks can be made if rough and hard stuff is used on a bamboo floor. When mopping, using a dust mop is best, to remove grime and dust. If it is really necessary to mop the floor, it is best to use a thoroughly wrung mop, to prevent any water being released onto the floor.

If you have to use cleaning detergents, make sure that they are safe to use on hard wood floors. Some detergents contain wax that makes the floor colour dull, and leave a filmy glaze on the floor. In fact you can make your own bamboo floor cleaning liquid at home. You just have to mix ¼ cup of white vinegar and a quart of water, to make this bamboo cleaner.
