Counter height stools for your kitchen

Finding the perfect counter height stools can be a challenging job. While it may not seem like a big deal, there are a lot of things that you must keep in mind when buying bar stools for your kitchen.

Height of the bar stools:

The height of the bar stool depends upon the height of your counter top. Most bar stools are 28 to 30 inches high. The key idea is that the stools should be high enough for you to comfortably put your elbows on the counter top.

Material:

Wooden stools look best indoors. Plus, they give your house a warm and welcoming look. Metal can also be a good option for a modish look. If you are buying bar stools that have a fixed height then wooden would do great but for changeable height using gas lift, metal works best.

Price:

Counter height stools are sold across a wide range of prices. You can find one as low as $9 to as high as $1000 and $3000 each. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend and what quality, finish and material you want to use in your bar stools.

Cheaper bar stools ranging up to $100 are usually RTA or Ready to Assemble. These must be assembled by the customers themselves. If your budget allows, I would suggest you go for welded frames. Welded frames are far more durable than RTA’s.

Fabric:

You will find countless choices in fabric for bar stools. You may buy the ready-made bar stools or choose your own fabric. Just make sure your fabric matches the overall décor of your house.  Vinyl is very in these days for counter height stools. However, they may require special care as they can crack easily.
